The DS has a bunch of amazing hidden gems. What are some I should grab? What are the forgotten classics?

Editing … Hotel Dusk is a must. (and the sequel: Last Window: The Secret of Cape West ) I also loved 999 of and the ace attorney games but maybe they are not so much "hidden". Radiant Historia....TWEWY.... the first few Professor Layton games. God I had so many games.... Why did I sell them?! Stupid younger me.

Editing … Some DS games have mods so I can use the New 3DS c-stick to move the camera! There are also some widescreen mods that don't stretch the games. Seems like a good excuse to replay those two Kingdom Hearts games.

Editing … It's just really charming. The protagonist is a grumpy ex-cop which is really funny in interactions. The art style is really cool (kind of like the aha's "take on me" clip) and the characters are interesting and fun to interview. It's not your typical point and click, it's more like an interactive book with some puzzles. It will show it's age in the 3d lower screen environment and controls but if you can look past that it's just a really special game. I'm surprised something like that was made. It's just really creative and I've never played anything like it before or since. Music is pretty cool too.

Editing … I gave this one a miss, but I occasionally play DS games on my 3DS. Or rather I used to. I never play my 3DS because I hate the design of the thing. If I could play all the exclusives on my Vita instead I'd be a happy man. Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy were pretty much the only DS titles I bothered to pick up, although my 3DS won't play those for some reason, so I stopped buying DS games. They worked fine in my friends 3DS so I dunno what the issue was.

Editing … The DS has my favorite library of games after the PS2 and PC. Phoenix Wright, Pokemon, Ghost Trick, The World Ends With You, Avalon Code, Advance Wars, Sonic Rush, Professor Layton, Jump Ultimate Stars, Etryan Odissey, Mario Kart DS, Devil Survivor... There's a lot of reasons to get a DS, more than the 3DS.

Editing … I also think that Tetris DS was overhyped for all that it was worth. Planet Puzzle League was cool. Meteos was awesome as f***, but no one ever understood the ridiculous storyline and the legend of the hieroglyphic ogre stick figures. Oh well. I thought it was easier to pick up and play, compared to say...Patapon? I can't believe I'm making that comparison...

Editing … Ummm ok. I'm watching Rick and Morty. Eating some Quaker Life Cinnamon cereal. It's really fucking cold out. Got some hydrocortizone on my hands cause the cold weather combined with doing a lot of dishes is making them shitty. Cats are cute. Rick and Morty should really have a TV MA rating. It's every bit as messed up as South Park and Game of Thrones if not more. I want to pet a cat. My throat is sore. I like making money. I wish I still had my VHS tape of the Wallace and Gromit short films. I love my duplex, but being alone at night is creepy. In the episode of Rick and Morty I just watched, Rick suddenly had a pair of rocket skies for no reason and it was awesome. I'm glad I can still enjoy kids cartoons and Disney movies and shit like that. I like boobs.

Editing … Other posts? Fuck if I remember. I remember some Sun and Moon stuff. I've barely played any of Sun yet. I'm not sure if I need much non-linearity. When I was little I disliked non-linear games. That has changed but to me being able to do stuff in different orders in the old Pokemon games added nothing. I've got a TV watcher's brain.

The ds was a unique system that did what it did very well. Around this point in time for nintendo they pretty much did what they wanted to and the nintendo ds was a shining example of this. It's library was effectively completely exclusive as the games that it had "ported" to it were basically completely original versions of the games designed for the hardware which was either good or bad depending on the game. It's only flaw was that it's library was very different from other consoles meaning if you didn't like the touch screen mechanic this system is not for you.
