This system does not currently exist but from various rumors it would seem that this system has the potential to take on current generation consoles but however it might be a bit late as nintendo's current entry is pretty under-powered and the library is similarly to the 64's short but sweet. I am hoping for the sake of Nintendo that this system ends up bringing them back up to speed after the detours of the past few consoles and hopefully they have learned and won't connect the name to the name of the original nintendo wii.

The Game Gear is a system that I sadly have not been able to experience much. I own a semi broken one from my brother's smoking friend who forgot about it but however I am unsure if I want to fix it or just acquire a new better one. From my experience with emulation in collections like the sonic collections and just general emulating. My opinion on the system is that is has a good library with some noteworthy titles but also having some of the worse sonic titles from the 90s and being a battery eater from my experience with the actual portable. A fun experience if you have the good titles for it and a lot of batteries.

The Xbox is arguably more underrated than the dreamcast in some respects. It seems to be generally thought that the system was a hit as the GameCube didn't sell as much as it did but for the most part the xbox was a forgettable experience as besides Halo most of the titles were either mediocre or ports from the other platforms. There were some titles however that are really enjoyable and sadly forgotten about such as most of sega's titles exclusive to xbox and some weird early titles such as fusion frenzy before microsoft really found their direction with this system. Not saying these games are bad but it was clear Microsoft was experimenting. Shamefully the powerful hardware mostly went to waste but however the machine can be modded to have a better hard drive and effectively become a media center pc with emulators and various other apps that can be modded on to the system.

Android is effectively the mobile world's version of windows. It is the most open and free operating system for mobile. The library of titles goes from the typical mobile games to some pretty good fun portable experiences that would put PlayStation vita's specs to shame if you have some form of a controller and a powerful enough mobile device. A mostly exclusive feature vs iOS would be emulators which are very well designed and android has pretty much taken over as the best portable emulation device if you are into that kind of stuff.

I don't think much can be said about this platform. For the most part it is another model of the ds but it also has exclusive online titles that are somehow invincible to emulation so far seemingly. These titles are small but enjoyable experiences that are slightly more arcade like than the main ds titles but however the games using the camera rarely worked meaning you should stay away from those titles. I can't speak for the retail exclusives but I would assume they aren't that good considering they are only exclusive for the camera which as I said doesn't really work for the games but is ok for taking photos with some fun editing tools. Definitely not a GoPro + Photoshop though. But I assume you would know that.

The PSP is a very odd system to me. I wanted one because I wanted a cross between the library of the ps1 and 2 and the accessibility of nintendo's platforms. I however didn't really see either of these things when I got the system and initially disliked it. However in the many years of me owning the system it has grown on me to the point of me being able to say that I enjoyed what I have gotten out of it so far. It is for the most part better than the PlayStation vita because of a larger library mainly having to do with 3rd parties going to it over the ds as well as some pretty good exclusives. I won't say much about modding but it definitely sweetens the deal regarding this system.

The Sony Playstation is a very remembered platform for shaping a large part of modern 3d gaming. As is usual with Sony consoles this system had a huge impact in it's generation and it's library is very good with a lot of classics lasting to today. I personally haven't used this system much so it isn't in my top 10 but might get there someday later on in my gaming "career."

Linux is an operating system which has slowly been rising over the past few years. It's game support is still not perfect but however with access to all of pc's various improvements over console games as well as a increasing library this operating system could be a very powerful platform in the next few years.

The NES is a classic system that is enjoyed by many and would be the best platform to some but however I personally haven't been able to experience it enough to think of it that way. It's library has a lot of classics that have been changed or improved in many ways to continue to last to today.

The Nintendo 64 is a fairly well done transitional platform for nintendo from 2d to 3d. It's library consisted of under 1000 games due to being abandoned by most 3rd parties but Nintendo more than did it's part with it's exclusives as well as enlisting the help of rare with it's exclaimed collectathon games as well as many other types of games on the platform. The flaws with this system stopping it from being a top 10 in my list are the library which compared to nintendo's other platforms is weak and the poor performance of games that only seemed to plague this platform in the 5th generation. However it's titles are still well remembered to today and has a hand in shaping the modern day 3d platformers even though rare is sadly not the same today.
