I had a lot of fun with this over the past week. Right up my alley, pretty linear shooter. Very gamey, can just stomp around throwing people through walls if you want. Lots of fun quips. However it is plagued abit with modern gaming-itis though. Like open world section with lame click x side quests and stupid scan this dead body to investigate without using any of your braincells. Fuck the guy who thought to put a walk around the police station and get people to sign a birthday card mission. I'm RoboCop, what the hell were they thinking. And I don't know what the whole circuit board combine chips gun upgrade system was about. That shit was designed terribly. Also the hardest difficulty doesn't unlock until you complete the game once... And the hardest available at the start provided almost zero challenge. Will probably pick up the expansion Unfinished Business sometime.

USA Network had a real nice era of comfy procedural shows with Monk, Psych and White Collar. Easy to come back to but not demanding on the brain. Maybe I should try Burn Notice and Royal Pains... They were of the era.

Another title I realize I was a shit at as a kid and only had played though like the first two levels despite owning it since around release. Finally got around to playing through the entire thing on the Vita via the GoW Collection. Plays very well on the handheld and I was surprised how well they adapted the buttons to fit the touch screen device. Biggest gripe is that it got a bit repetitive at times and the camera sucked for platforming. But the story was entertaining and the whole thing oozes it's own style. Also boobs, lots of boobs.

Editing … I bought the Vita collection and hated it. Didn't even get past the first two levels in either game, despite beating both of the PSP games.

So I bought a little cargo van two months ago and been slowly converting it into a mini RV-like vehicle. Been nice going up to the mountains and having a quick, dry place to crash in between canoe tripping through the woods. I honestly don't know why not everyone has a van. It's so convenient if I feel like going anywhere I just hop in the van and go. All my gear is always packed and never gotta worry about getting a hotel or finding an official camping spot. It's also been fun just figuring out the flow of staying in the van. What I actually need, where I should organize it, what I want add.....nice project to keep my mind busy. Just been using the PSVita for gaming in the van so far but maybe I'll setup a real rig. Could possibly see myself going full time van life but I'm not jumping into it just yet.

So I will leave him this backhanded complement where I admit that his hobby sounds fantastic and that anyone would be lucky to be kidnapped with his van. (oh god and the canoe trip through the woods through actual not fake nature! *hnnnnng!*)

Editing … If I was single with no kids and had loads of time off work I'd consider his lifestyle too. It does sound pretty fun. But I have to use my holiday days to look after Iz on school holidays, and Claire has to use hers the previous/following week so we're all covered. Maybe in 15 years I can get me a van.

So I've edited this list to reflect current opinions... some Pixar is probably going to usurp the og stuff but want to watch it all with fresh eyes again
