    Saved!
I want to apologize for my lack of posts in such a long time. To tell you the truth, I've been away. I needed time for myself. I've been … on a journey. I went for a sail across the sev– err, eight seas, aspiring to catalog a few siren songs on my long & lonesome venture for my beloved #generationchip. I've met the ugliest and most aliased sea creatures – like #Giant Octoroks and #Botwoons. I've been through deadly swell and loading-error storms. I was close to being Game Over at least once!

And this is what I caught in my fishnet for ya:

    · Having traveled to many, many islands, I surely jumped over a handful of blocky cliff platforms 'n ran over several sandy beaches with up to 16 colors, in order to get to buried treasures and melodic leisures. I've scavenged the jungles, the towns, the seas. I think I even saw a few mermaids behind a waterfall curtain … though, that could have been a mere daydream.

Just when I thought I had dug up something valuable – a heavy black chest with a mushroom crest – I was suddenly overwhelmed by a pack of funky pirates. While I must admit that their constant funky dance parties on deck were filling me with joy, I was still their prisoner.

Eventually, they brought me to #Yoann Turpin, captain of the funkiest pirate ship of them all – the #Chip Ship. Unfortunately, after all the trouble I had been through to get to that black chest, he made me hand it over to him.

But that's okay! Having spent so many days in their company – as a "guest" – I picked up enough chiptune songs to finish this chapter and move on. And because I gave them the chest, they were kind enough to release me. Or … busy enough to leave the cages unattended. Whatever.

    · After that, I needed to recharge my health. So I steered towards the closest harbor. It was a lively place, with many NPCs hasting about, doing various kinds of shopping & sidequests.

The scenery was sweetened by #A Shell in the Pit and #Tettix, two fierce chiptune bards who, well … they were doing some kind of chip battle admidst all the people. While taking turns, each of them performed a piece or two trying to win the heart pieces of the audience. But as the match went on, the music only became darker and uneasier. And yet … attractive.

It was only then that I realized that these two fine gentlemen hadn't been competing at all. They were collaboratingly filling the silence with entertaining music and helped everyone there simply have a good time. But … but that didn't matter because …

The harbor turned out to be a castle! It was no harbor at all!! Angrily, I sailed away and left this place as quickly as I could – but not without stealing their precious #castle BGM. Ha! That'll show 'em!

    · Then – when I jumped into my retro diving suit, and ever so slowly strutted along the ocean ground in hypnotizing Amiga-pacing – there was this cave, this underwater cave … It was full of shimmering, blurry lights and an alien whistling, not from this earth … It came from #DarkeSword who sat there. Under water. In the cave. And he played #Just A Little More for me … literally. It wasn't chiptunes but I took it along anyway. Consider it a bonus.

    · Now, you filthy landrats: vote at the poll! Vote – before I send you down the plank!
