Editing … Don't worry, he's got six already. I'm sure some Qatari club will give him a purple one to complete his collection. He's still too good to go right now, but maybe it's best to bow out at the top, before the fans get frustrated with dropping performance levels.

Editing … I believe he's good to go 1 more season, which considering his age is incredible, but his performance has already dropped quite a bit compared to the last season. Still, since he didn't announce anything yet, I'm willing to bet he'll stick it out one more season in order to have the proper send off he deserves, while helping to smooth the transition, especially since Pogba will most likely leave the club.

Editing … Gerrard irreparably damaged his reputation by staying one more season. Last year when he slipped against Chelsea and cost Liverpool the title was the warning sign. In one year he's gone from hero to burden to somebody nobody cares about. I hope that doesn't happen to Pirlo.

Editing … Don't think that scenario will befall Pirlo. Reckon he'll more likely go down Xavi's road, as in: being a substitute for 2/3 of the season, while helping out young players during the training to fit in. Whether that's what he deserves, I'm not sure. I'm with you that this final should've been portrayed as his farewell game from high-level professional football and that he should've bowed out after it. He won't be a burden to Juventus if he stays, but this could've been the best possible farewell from the fans. Better to end with a bang, than with a fizz, I say.
