“See, our industry has defined interactivity as performing physical actions, like shooting or jumping. So, for many people my games are not real video games because they don’t fit into this restrictive idea of interactivity.

At the moment, we use video games as a toy, but they have the potential to be meaningful.

Games focus on simple themes and target a teenage audience.”

Editing … No David, I don't think your games "aren't real". However, I think your games suck because you seem to make a movie and then add interactivity as an afterthought. Not to mention that these movies that you originally create are narratively incoherent and almost entirely uninspired. I too enjoy games that give a "deep" experience as well as ones that give "pure fun", but you'll never create a game that can touch the emotional depth of Journey, or the philosophical depth of Planescape: Torment, because you're a shallow man obsessed with proving your self-worth by focusing on the superficial. #rant

Editing … ^*slow clap* And also this Cage guy won't earn my respect with this pitiful bitching about how people just don't understand his "deep" and "meaningful" work, he will earn my respect when his work actually gets good.

Editing … Nicely said Aiden. :) For me, David Cage is a film school reject that somehow ended up in this industry. And no i don`t know if that`s a fact, he just acts like one (a quasi film director).
