(I'm currently in episode 6 or whatever.)

Its hyperviolence reminds me of the 80's and 90's when those were the only kind of anime that made it out of Japan. Those and hentai. I find it very off-putting.

I like the stylish intro. Some of the characters are just barely interesting enough to keep me invested. The universe more so.

But I'm not really enjoying this show too much. 5.5/10.

Editing … I haven't started it yet, but some people say it's one of the best video game adaptations. So far Fallout is easily the best I've seen, since besides being a great series, it had a very low bar to pass. The second best video game adaptation I've seen was probably like a 6/10. Is there a better (shorter) way to phrase Favorite Film & TV Adaptations of Video Games? Favorite Video Game Screen Adaptations? Favorite Screen Adaptations of Video Games?

Editing … I saw this but didn't find it that interesting apart from the visual flair. The latter episodes made me very uncomfortable. The protagonist upgrades his body to look like a bodybuilder balloon animal and the relationship between the characters feels very problematic and disordered. I didn't actually watch everything I skipped through the whole thing after the first few episodes felt very flat to me. The only thing from that show that stuck in my mind were the background characters using an ejaculation machine with vr goggles in public. That is what strikes me as the most realistic aspect of it: people wanking in the streets just because they can. Shame doesn't exist anymore.

Editing … "Is there a better (shorter) way to phrase Favorite Film & TV Adaptations of Video Games?" — No. I would even use "Favorite Film & TV Adaptations of a Video Game". — https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adaptation_(arts) For written work, there are words like "literay" adaptation for "source = book" and "novelization" for "target = book". But I don't know of any analogous words for films or video games … "Filmation"? We would have to create our own ones.

Editing … "of a Video Game" sounds a bit more awkward to me. I like "screen," since colloquially it refers to film and TV, but if we get super literal, video games do use screens.

Editing … Arcane is still easily my favorite video game adaptation. I was floored by how invested I got by the end of the season. I enjoyed Edgerunners enough but I don't really enthusiastically recommend it to anyone.

Editing … I think my favorites list would just have Fallout, Super Mario Bros., Postal, and Prince of Persia. I thought Detective Pikachu was fine, but I wouldn't rank it. Barely stuck around in my memory. I think I was able to enjoy Assassin's Creed, but now all I can remember is that it had some of the worst editing I've ever seen. My least favorites would have uh... the newer Mario movie, the Sonic movie, Rampage, Uncharted, Warcraft, Angry Birds, and The Last of Us. One of the Street Fighter movies is considered pretty fun, right?

Editing … The 94 film is completely ridiculous but it's so wonderfully silly that I don't think I could put it in a Least Favorite list. Personally I hated Assassin's Creed. Almost all of it is set in the present, only jumping to the past for disjointed action scenes.

Editing … Don't forget the extraordinarily disjointed parkour scenes. At least, that's how I remember it. Do you like the 93 Mario movie, or Postal? :)

Editing … I haven't seen the 90's Mario movie since, well, the 90's. I remember liking it despite its reputation. Like everyone says it's better if you judge it as a zany cyberpunk adventure comedy and not an adaptation. Might be something I could get my partner to watch with me. Postal I've never seen. Or played.
