As I stand here in Isabella's paddling pool on the hottest day of the year with my family beside me, my own house, no worries, a bbq on the go and a can of beer in my hand I think I know true happiness. Also being old, wise and past all the ego bullshit helps too. But I cannot think of another time in my life when I was genuinely this happy. My life right now is perfect and I don't want anything more. Well, maybe a better boss but we can't have everything.

I thought I was truly happy the day we bought our house, I was so happy that day. But life just keeps getting better for me. Rich people say money doesn't buy happiness but neither does minimum wage, money IS important. It's not everything but it's a part of the solution, you need enough to do things and not worry about money.

Another thing, would I have appreciated everything I have now if I was still young? I don't think I could. I think happiness is only achievable once you're older or have experienced bad times. Or maybe some people are just smarter than me, but I'm the guy that has to learn the lesson, you can't tell me something I have to experience it.

I hope all my favslist friends are as happy one day as I am today, even Husky the worst admin ever who won't let me add pages.

I was just thinking how do you achieve happiness? What is it? In my opinion it's not about material things, I'm happy I have some nice things I guess, but I'm not happy because I have them. I have a house which provides me with security, if you feel secure then you're happy. I have a mancave filled with games consoles, but I think I like it so much because it's a place to relax and have some me time, it's more about doing that then owning the stuff I think. It's definitely a mind thing. I'm happy because I'm loved, and I'm truly happy when my daughter smiles, that means more than anything I bought.

Looking back on my life I have to think that the main step is to accept that there's things you cannot change. I'm short, I look like a neanderthal, my hair is uncontrollable so I have to keep it shaved short, I'm partially deaf so struggle socially at times. Back when I was younger all this bothered me, but one day I decided that I can't change it so stop worrying about it all. I truly don't care what anybody thinks and I'm a lot happier for it. Another thing I learned to accept is that people are cunts. All through life people will hurt you, but you need to accept that, and just move on. All these things are beyond your control so don't let it bring you down.

The next step is to work hard for the things you want. Unhappy with your body? Work hard in the gym. Want to travel the world? Make it happen, work hard to save money and do it. The things you can change need to be worked at, nobody gonna give you anything for free, see above, people are cunts. Work on yourself too, try to be a good person, it's not always easy, it does require work, be the person you'd like as a friend. Achieving the things you're working for will be another step along the way.

I think the rest will come naturally if you do what I said above. People who are unhappy will be miserable to be around, so people will dislike them. A nice happy person will always have friends, which in turn will make you even happier because you get love.

TL DR: stop worrying about things you can't change and don't be a cunt.

My problem is that nothing will ever be enough for me. I always want to own more, to do more, to see more, and to be more.
But life would be sad if I ran out of things to fight for. Even a utopia needs goals to battle for. Life needs battle.

I have money to buy candy whenever I want, but I'm not fat. Is this heaven? I think it's heaven.

I'm in a good mood today :) I should capitalise on this and try something new. Everyone give me your favourite youtuber/video series and I will give them a watch when I get "home"

I'm in a really good mood today :) Apparently a day of JRPG's and Metal Gear Goodness is good for the soul ^.^

I was happy for three years of my childhood that I can remember (can't remember before kindergarden). Tenth grade was a mixed bag so I'll count that as a half year. As an adult I've been happy for four years in a row. I was a kid for thirteen years that I remember, and an adult for five, and that's still four happy adult years versus three and a half happy kid years. The extent to which adulthood is kicking childhood's skanky ho ass is mind blowing.

Happiness has the sound "penis" in it. Coincidence, I think not! Mine makes me very happy.
