Did you know this is the most expensive Star Wars movie so far? That's after adjusting for inflation, too. Possibly due to the reshoots when they switched directors? About 70% of the movie had to be reshot.

Man, I've always tossed up Justice League's shitty CGI to the expensive reshoots (way more expensive than most reshoots, which aren't actually too pricey--and surprisingly, as allegedly only about 15-20% of the movie was reshot), but I recall Solo having fantastic presentation. Good investment in those practical sets, eh? Plus a cheaper and smaller main cast. And no one needed their facial hair digitally removed.

edit: this was before The Force Awakens' budget was re-calculated.

Editing … Hey, I thought that more people would love it, because Han Solo and Han shot first and s**t, but I'm not complaining. I'm sure Harrison Ford wouldn't mind. He's kind of sick of playing the same dudes all the time. Lol.

I saw this yesterday. It was pretty great. The film had some beautiful shots, made wonderful use of its effects, and had wonderful music. The characters were pretty great too. That was a Star Wars movie.

Editing … Thinking about it, I don't care about Jedi at all, the Star Wars universe has more potential for films without them. A sith film would be cool, but Hollywood won't let evil win or be seen glorifying evil so that's a non starter.

After Solo bombed due to The Last Jedi sucking so hard, Lucasfilm's decided to put all standalone Star Wars titles on hold, to focus their efforts on Rian Johnson's new trilogy.

Editing … Yeah it basically comes down to "what can we do that people will recognize because that will generate us the most profit." I haven't even bothered to see "The Last Jedi", but both "The Force Awakens" & "Rouge One" have strongly given me the impression that Disney will do as little as possible with Star Wars because they will still generate a profit regardless. Honestly if Disney wasn't stupid and just hired some one like a Ron Howard to begin with this probably would of turned out to be profitable because "lol Star Wars"

No stone is left unturned in this movie. Not even Han's golden dice. SRSLY, they remembered the damned dice and focused the camera directly on them. You movie directors are total nerds.

Han: See that? I made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs.

...He made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs. I watched him do it. And I have no idea whether any space pilot would figure out what the hell Han is talking about. Oh well. Star Wars fans will love every second of it. And the ending with Woody Harrelson will probably make the fans crack up. Who shot first? Han or...whatever.

Director Ron Howard would probably say that Han shot first. If anything, this movie proves Ron's total nerdiness.

Editing … Well...I didn't think I'd like it as much as I did. I actually hated parts of Rogue One. So, I was kind of surprised how quickly Han Solo changed his career path. From an orphan slave to a disgruntled soldier for the Empire...to mercenary...and stuff. The actors pulled it off very seamlessly. And Ron Howard covered a lot of Han's backstory, from finding Chewbacca to snatching the Millennium Falcon from Lando.

There were times when I thought Ron Howard was having too much fun with double-crossing and triple-crossing negotiations. It was fine with me, though. It's freaking Han, so these situations are natural for me.
