The Official Autobiography of James Bond was an interesting read. At first I wasn't having it but then they got to describing some of his early escapades and it was better. Strange concept writing as though James Bond was real and the books were a deception created by the service to fool the Russians.

Editing … I read something on Facebook that Christopher Lee was inspiration for the real Bond but I have so little faith in Facebook posts I wouldn't dare repeat that in public. I did read that he was a badass in the war too, but his stories don't add up, and no SAS record has shown up either unlike everybody that did serve.

No Time to Die has to be my favorite Bond movie yet. Other than a bit of a slump in the second half it was very enjoyable. I wish there was more Ana de Armas. The action felt very well choreographed, there was a bit of comedy that I thought earlier Daniel Craig Bond films were lacking, and the story was serviceable... Nothing out of the box but solidly entertaining.

Watching/reading No Time To Die reviews. I knew it. That girl didn't become a new Bond. Whew. (Dodged a bullet there) Looks like this is the last Daniel Craig Bond. And...

...Oh man, I already got into this review and there are already spoilers? Yeah, I should've known. Everyone should just avoid watching/reading reviews at this point. This is truly the continuous anthology version of Bond. Might as well call this "The Life and Times of Daniel Craig."

(Warning: All the No Time To Die reviews will probably contain spoilers)

Finished my fourth Bond book yesterday, Scorpius by John Gardner. I feel like the side characters were better realized and the overall evil plot/villain was interesting. I was less of a fan of Gardner's portrayal of Bond then Fleming. He just seemed like more of a stuck up arse hole in this one.

Picked up the Blu-Ray box set recently, my ranking so far:

    1. Goldfinger
    2. From Russia with Love
    3. You Only Live Twice
    4. Dr. No
    5. Thunderball

    hmmm
    1. Casino Royale
    2. Skyfall
    3. Spectre
    4. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    5. Dr. No

The rest of them are honestly all jumbled together in my memory, or stand out for being bad. Was totally bored of this series before Casino Royale.

As it has been a while, I have decided to re-watch the entire Bond saga :) These were always my favourite movies as a kid, and they'll always have a place on my shelf. Even though I really dislike the Daniel Craig movies (except Casino Royale) I shall include them too. I'm thinking one film a day starting tomorrow and ending on the 2nd August, most likely with Sean Connery's "Never Say Never Again :)

    That's 24 days, 6 Bonds and a boat-load of Vodka Martini's (shaken, not stirred) :P

Editing … I would recommend giving them a shot. While they have admittedly aged, they still have a charming sillyness to them. Memorable villains, flashy cars and the exploits of a one-man army that uses the same name and cover-story no matter where he goes :P

Editing … I did this recently, I started watching them all from the beginning. Some are just OK, but others are great. Casino Royale with Daniel Craig is my favourite, it's gritty and he's like a proper spy and hard as nails. I love that film.

Editing … It's a really fantastic movie that captured the essence of James Bond. That's what made it harder to watch the other two train-wrecks that followed :( Although the ending sequence to Skyfall was top-notch :P

Editing … Yeah, the other two were just OK for me. I like James Bond so I'll watch them all and like them to some degree, but they aren't in my top 10.
