Perhaps it's because on Netflix, everyone will just watch through in a linear order, whereas Family Guy can't expect everyone to sit down once a week for *each* episode.
Saved!Dr EggnogEditing … F is For Family is good at having That 70s Show level continuity, where there's a string running through the show but each episode can be watched individually. The more down to earth nature reminds me a lot more of King of the Hill than Family Guy.
