I'd missed the first half of England v Germany because I was on the train but the driver kept the passengers updated through the tannoy - when I got home I immediately rushed to the telly to watch the rest. During the final Hamburg was like a ghost town, presumably because everyone was at home watching the game, but after Germany won there were spontaneous street parties all over the place. It was mental.
