    Saved!
What a complete mess. There are parts of the movie that I loved and other parts that I really hated. Ben Affleck as Batman was brilliant and probably the best live action Batman that I have seen. I found myself really looking forward to when there would be another Batman scene and I think that the way they developed his hatred towards Superman was really well done. The visuals, action sequences, and the overall tone were also superb. And then there's Lex Luthor and Lois Lane... I feel like with Lex, the higher ups saw how audiences loved the Joker and wanted to make Lex more like a psychotic creep, but it just doesn't work. It's distracting and does not fit his character at all. Lois Lane is also flat out terrible as the only purpose she serves in the movie is a damsel in distress for Superman to save over and over again.

Editing … Wonder Woman wasn't all that bad in the film but the way she was incorporated was a bit rushed and they way they used her to set up the eventual Justice League really irritated me because it had no place in this movie. The fight between Batman and Superman was also really underwhelming and I really did not buy into why Superman was so anti-Batman. The movie really starts to fall apart in the second half and the ending really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Editing … Your take's pretty much what I'm expecting to think when I get round to seeing it. I'm surprised if they messed up why Superman is anti-Batman though, doesn't this version of Batman torture and brand people?

Editing … There is a lot of Batman's character in the film that Superman could have criticized, but he really mentions his worst aspects and only really says that Batman thinks that he is above the law when really he does the same thing himself. It's a completely wasted opportunity. And there's one confrontation between the two characters that doesn't make any sense but I don't really want explain why since you haven't seen the movie yet.

Editing … I'm interested to hear about that one scene between them that doesn't make sense according to you, Ben. Maybe post it in spoiler tags?

Editing … I've had some of it spoiled for me. Spoiler Was it the both our mums are called Martha thing that gets Batman to stop trying to kill Supes? I'm hoping that makes more sense in context but it sounds pretty dumb

Editing … SpoilerSuperman stops Batman from chasing after criminals on the White Portuguese ship allowing Luthor to get a hold of the kryptonite only for Batman to steal soon after. I just don't get why it was necessary for Superman to stop Batman from doing the right thing and he lets them get away and trashes the Batmobile just to make Batman even more angry.

Editing … Spoiler Ah okay, that part's in the trailer. Apparently there's no equivalent of this scene where they figure out each other's identities: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5nUsa8ZLm4 If true that's a shame, it was pretty much perfect.

Editing … As for what I was talking about with the ending,Spoilerkilling off Superman seemed like a really ballsy move if they were going to stick with it, but in the back of my mind I knew that they probably wouldn't have a Justice League movie without him and then once I saw the dirt rising from his coffin, I was very annoyed that my doubts were correct.

Editing … Spoiler As soon as the trailer gave away that Doomsday was in the film it was kind of obvious Supes was going to die temporarily, just like he does in the comics. Sounds like they did it as a homage to Dark Knight Returns with the heartbeat in the coffin thing.
