Rogue Nation represents the bare minimum I expect from a summer blockbuster. Its got the right amount of spectacle, charm, and captivation to make for one enjoyable, not so tedious, experience - unlike most movies of this genre. It certainly isn't going to be pulling any surprises on you, but that is fine. If go in with the expectation that you're going to be watching an Tom Cruise driven action movie you'll get the expected amount of enjoyment that you'd typically expect to get from such a movie. It is no Christopher Nolan blockbuster and it is certainly no Fury Road, so temper your expectations accordingly. And for those looking for a movie with a good amount of humor & action to it Rogue Nation will do a good job in delivering such an experience. It is a slightly above average action blockbuster that works quite well and proves once again that Tom Cruise makes for one hell of an action hero.
