I do realize nobody gives a shit about these kinds of things, but even ~11 years after I first heard this track, it's still my favorite song of all time; which is weird cause my taste in music has changed dramatically since then: I went from classic rock to punk to trip hop to electronica to hip hop and yet Planet caravan is still my #1

It's the one constant in my life.

Just now a few hours ago I randomly stumbled across it on one of my playlists and - even though I haven't listened to this song in about 12 months - I immediately pressed on "repeat" to listen to it again and again.

Planet Caravan is a song that was released 45 years ago on Black Sabbath's iconic "paranoid" album and to me this is without hyperbole THE most relaxing, laid back song I've ever heard.

It's about two lovers floating through space.

Editing … They were the best band ever, Laguna Sunrise is pretty relaxio too. Pantera did a decent cover of Planet Caravan but the original is still the best.

Editing … Yes! Btw, I always felt that the song "zeitgeist" from their 2013 album felt like a homage to planet caravan. Just like "loner" is basically a nod to "iron man".

Editing … Oh yeah it definitely is. A lot of the new album is like that, Age of Reason is a play on Into the Void, just shifting from war and pollution onto ideology and lifestyle. 13 was a decent album but it didn't have the energy of their older ones, hard to blame them though since they made so many good ones.
