Really liked the first one. I enjoyed this one just as much for the first twenty minutes, in a dumb fun kind of way. Then there were some sappy scenes I just wasn't invested in and a villain I found really boring. The movie seemed like it needed a PG13 rating to be as epic as it wanted. When the kid got his eyes covered cause the main couple was kissing (just regular kissing) I rolled my eyes and wondered why the movie wasn't rated G (cause nothing post-Shrek is I guess). Also, I found the Alphas really boring. Why are big monsters always so slow to do anything? Because if they weren't most of the good guys would die and there'd have to be five minutes of sappiness squeezed out of every one.
