I'm of the opinion that you can't successfully remake an Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle, since he's usually the reason that those movies were entertaining in the first place. I thought that perhaps this concept might work with updated effects, and fresh set of eyes to tell a sci-fi story that was interesting, but this remake worked like Nyquil for me; sucking out every inch of charm and fun that the original had going for it.
