Oh, Fluttershy. I love you but you must be hard to write episodes for. The original idea for this episode was one about what it means to go through the loss of a pet but they were worried it would be too depressing. Instead we got concept B: Fluttershy does a bad job of taking care of a sick ugly bird. Fun times. I have every confidence that Celestia knows how to take care of animals so I feel no want for Fluttershy to steal the bird. At least the ending reminds me of Harry Potter.
