Not quite as good as its sequels, but still the game that started the series, so that deserves something.

  Editing … In my personal opinion, the very first game was always waaay better than the sequels. It just feels more full and complete, a title truly polished to the maximum. DKC 2 and 3 didn't really feel like that to me personally, at all. The only DKC game which matches first one at that, is Tropical Freeze, in my personal opinion.
