As a huge fan of racing games, this is just another reason why I vastly prefer Forza over Gran Turismo:

Editing … That's a pretty unfair comparison, I donno, the only thing that really matters in a racing sim is the handling and forza4 controls like Need for Speed, crappy road cars have far too much grip. GT needs to copy Forza in certain aspects, but the fundamentals are there which is what matters. Forza2 was fantastic though, possibly the best console racing sim from last gen

Editing … so what if gran turismo sucks to play... its REALISTIC.. well except for AI, sound, damage, collision physics, wall riding... but those things don't affect the experience in any way whatsoever, so just ignore them!

Editing … Those things are relatively unimportant unless your playing burnout, you don't need damage in sims, just a fair penalty system for playing online. AI doesn't matter because 99% of the time you don't see AI in forza/gt. So yeah of obviously realistic handling is the most important part of a driving sim

Editing … There's a reason why rfactor is still the most popular and well supported racing sim 9yrs after release, and its not because of its damage model/sound or AI

Editing … I have never played Rfactor. I was talking about Gran Turismo. That said, "AI doesn't matter because 99% of the time you don't see AI in forza/gt." <-- the hell?

Editing … You see them briefly until charging into the lead first corner. That's probably due to poor AI but i cant recall realistic AI in any racing game. Forza 5 tried with 'driveatar' but that flopped, it was just erratic

Editing … Anyway point was you CAN ignore those things and still have a realistic racing sim, it just wont get 9/10 on gamespot. Plenty of racing drivers use rfactor to practice because of its realistic handling model, at least polyphony get their priorities straight with GT
