In Hungarian there's a difference between nokedli (spätzle) and pörkölt galuska (spätzle plus gulyás meat).

Also, many people seem to confuse Goulash (soup with meat and potatoes) and Pörkölt (boneless meat with paprika, no soup).

Where I come from we don't call them "Spätzle" though, we call them "Nockerln" which is a term that is apparently only used in Northern Austria (you learn sth new every day).

Fascinating, isn't it? God I'm hungry.
