GameStop used to be a place where I could dump a bunch of games I no longer wanted to play and use what they gave me to buy one or two new games that I was interested in. Recently I took twenty games to trade and they offered me 14 dollars total. I'd rather give my games away (or find creative ways to destroy them) than accept such a low amount for trade. I understand that GameStop is a business and they need to buy games lower than they would sell them for, but it's gotten to the point that it's no longer worth the effort on my part. When I can no longer sell a video game for even a dollar a piece, it's time to look for other avenues to sell. As far as purchasing games go, the only way GameStop offers discounted prices is through used games (as opposed to, say, WalMart or Best Buy which only sell new games), but even then their prices are hardly competitive with online ventures such as eBay.
