A well-intentioned film that's unfortunately let down by a few historical inaccuracies as well as the fact that the story descends into pantomime and soap opera at times (a fine line that many dramas about Hitler and WW2 often fail to tread. I guess it's because Hitler and the Nazis were such a ridiculous and downright absurd bunch of characters that the very real and serious consequences of their actions at times get lost in the mockery). For my money Downfall/Der Untergang still serves as a better portrayal of the chaos and the murderous barbarism that Hitler and his followers unleashed.
