Caught this on TV last night, I'd actually forgotten how much I liked it.

  Editing … I think reading wuxia is the absolute best way to fully experience the genre, especially if you want to understand the mechanics behind it. You can let your imagination run wild when interpreting the colourful descriptions of those fight sequences. In the case of Crouching Tiger, the blase critic in me will probably scoff at the film (can't help it), but as superficial an introduction it may be for newbies, I suppose it's better than nothing.
