It's pretty weird that seemingly every Pokémon is born from an egg. Like, Pikachu lays eggs. Gardevoir lays eggs. Vanilluxe lays eggs. Magnemite lays eggs. Even ghosts lay eggs.
Did you know Pokémon can interbreed with other Pokémon from the same egg group? The Field egg group contains 27.12% of all Pokémon so far. Wailord is a member of this group, and this means more than a quarter of all Pokémon can breed with a Wailord. Skitty can breed with a Wailord. Chimchar and Bidoof can breed with a Wailord. In the Mineral egg group, Magnemite can breed with Vanillish. Someone probably finds this so hot.

The only Pokémon that can't breed are legendaries, baby Pokémon, special event versions of Pikachu, and Nidorina and Nidoqueen. Nidorino and Nidoking can breed, as can male and female Nidorans. Nidokings are generally almost nine times the weight of female Nidorans. The mating practices of this Pokémon family must be horrifying.

Do you think Ditto are like skinwalkers to other Pokémon? They finish breeding, and they watch with horror as their mate, wandering off in the distance, starts changing shape and color.
