Oh, I forgot to download the Sims games. I had one job!!

Oh well, maybe tomorrow I'll do it.

The good thing is I like to transfer the games in reverse alphabetical order (so they show up alphabetically on the psp) and I only added two iso games before giving up, so I am still only up to the letter S. x)

Editing … I downloaded The Sims 3 Pets for my 3DS. I wonder if it's any good. Also, why does that sentence makes sense, but I can't say "I wonder if it's any bad?"

Editing … Sims on consoles suck. They are not the same game. I remember being so excited to play ps2 sims 2 with my friend back in the day but after 5 minutes we realized we had been ripped off.

Editing … But that doesn't automatically make them bad. In fact I put an unexpected amount of hours in Sims Castaway on PSP way back when, I think 2017, before I even had cfw meaning it was actually a physical copy. The only reason I stopped was because the game kept crashing during a later island when I started planting stuff. Normally I'd blame the game for crashing, but I think it may have been because I used to leave my PSP's WLAN switch on, which I was told causes memory leaks on the 3k model which causes games to crash. And I think the guy who said this was actually telling the truth!! Flatout on PSP used to crash constantly for me, but down the road I gave the game another chance and didn't encounter any issues. There is no reason to have the WLAN switch on anymore so I always considered playing Castaway again. If it doesn't work I could always try on Vita assuming that makes a difference.

Editing … I don't think I could ever enjoy console sims games. I just stick to the real sims 1 and 2. I have customized sims 2 as well and I downloaded a shit ton of fan creations. It's much more fun that way. The community is still quite active for sims 2.

Editing … I guess I like the SIMplicity (hehehe!...) of 1 and 2 but I would love to play a more modern sims that lets you build the town itself as well like sims 2. There is a lot you can do to modernize sims 2 a bit but it has it's limits and the game internally is a huge mess. But it's not looking like the sims 5 will be anything like what I am waiting for. Maybe I could try sims 3 one day. I tried sims 4 but I was a bit put off by the sims themselves and the fact that EA wants me to be perpetually online and connect via their weird online thingy.

Editing … It's not always online I think but to play it it has to check online if you are allowed to play or something. I didn't know there are sims 4 copies that don't require an origin account or EA app. That seems like a better deal then. Especially when origin is down. It seems that if origin is down nobody can play the game at all. So offline version would be superior definitely.

Editing … I hope sims 5 will not be shit and online but my trust in EA is -100. Luckily these are multiple sims like games in development such as paralives, inzoi and life by you. So maybe one of those atleast will be good.

Editing … Oh that's too bad. So I guess it is the only option then. Just imagine investing hundreds of hours into your sims and then EA decides to pull the plug on the EA app and origin. Then you just won't be able to play your game anymore.

Editing … Yeah but you lose them if your device croaks. I like the security of having save progress being on the server. In the future all games will work that way. (Or at least I wish that they will, I know all too well we can't have nice things) Just sign in and you have your stuff. That's how F2P games work isn't it? When I sign in to Magic Arena, Eternal, Pokemon TCG it has all my cards and decks no matter what device I am on. Meanwhile, to get my Pokemon Shield data from one Switch Lite to another, both had to be on wifi and connected to a wall. I can't ever sell my system either, without losing my data. Technology fail.

Editing … The saves are stored locally of course but if there is no game to play the save files are useless. If sims 4 needs an online check but the service stops one day, you can click play all you want but you will not be able to play anymore unless EA finds it in their hearts to release a patch when they stop the online thing.

Editing … The f*** is Thrillville? *google* Oh like a generic Rollercoaster tycoon type game. I've tried some other coaster type games but it always comes down to the fact that only the original Rollercoaster tycoon 1 and 2 are worth playing. The guy who made them was super into rollercoasters and creating sim type games. People around him didn't even think a game about building theme parks would sell. They thought it was weird. He made the game anyway and canceled his sequel to transport tycoon (which already had quite a large fan-base and would be a safer bet). This all just because he was having more fun making his rollercoaster game. People still play Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 and 2 to this day and he basically invented en entire sub-genera which many companies have tried to bank off of. Those games just never his home for me.

Editing … Rollercoaster tycoon is a wholesome game full of love and it needs to be preserved for the ages. I found out OpenRTC2 existed just a month or so ago. It lets you play rollercoaster tycoon 1 and 2 at the same time and allows for more modern resolutions. So I guess that helps keep the game alive for now. It's still really fun to play. I always think I'll just play for 15 minutes but I end up building an entire park for hours.
