How has cgi gotten worse over time. I see that a lot in movies today. Do they just not care to make it look good anymore?
Saved!Husky WingEditing … One excuse given for CGI getting worse is that major studios insist on rushed post-production schedules. The VFX studios just don't have enough time to produce good effects. It probably doesn't help that we're using CGI in places where we used to always use practical effects. Lots of movies make me think "this would look so much better if they made this in the '80s."
