Saved!NodleyEditing … Rubbish. Andor was maybe the best Star Wars live action in 20 or 40 years depending on who you ask.
Saved!Husky WingEditing … Andor's definitely way better than The Book of Boba Fett or Obi-Wan Kenobi, and clearly has far more soul. It did make me a bit sad though, because it's a very different Star Wars than what I wanted. It's a more gritty imagining, as opposed to the pulp sci-fi I love with the original trilogy. I tend to treat these extended Star Wars additions as "legally Star Wars." Like, the original trilogy was written without these new stories in mind, but legally since they own the property, Disney can say "oh yeah, this totally happened, yeah that's part of Star Wars actually. Fuck you." Andor was good, I just don't love it like I love the original trilogy (but I don't hate it like I hate Kenobi). My favorite new Star Wars is still Solo, even though I haven't rewatched it since I saw it in theaters. Maybe it's time to see it again. See how I still like it.
