Guardians of the Galaxy (2021) [6/10]: Well in the end it's definitely a flawed game but quite a bit of fun along the way. Overall the voice acting and writing is good and fun. The story gets a bit off the rails midway through the game and I lost interest but the combat kept me playing. There's certainly balancing issues with your team getting too strong too quick making the later battles not really feel challenging but instead feeling like the enemies are too spongey making the sequences unnecessarily long. The pacing also felt like it really went off the rails as well making several chapters really story heavy while others combat heavy. (A problem I also had with Uncharted 4) I don't want to sit down for an hour or two to play a game and end up watching a movie for 1:30 of my playtime. (Which I know....totally contradicts my love for the MGS series) Prob won't ever return to the game... I wish they had a battle arena mode like Arkham Asylum or Bioshock Infiinte and yes I'm fully aware those are now dated references....
