The father of video game cartridges only gained recognition 20 years ago? I mean, I would've posted a humongous billboard saying, "I'm your father, b****es." I guess Jerry Lawson was just a really humble guy.

...If anyone has a free Fairchild Channel F, lemme know.

Editing … You have me watching High Score now. It's pretty interesting. Some of it I knew, but plenty I didn't. It's nice getting a bit more insight. I love videogame history!

Editing … I mean, a lot of the inventions are out of order, but they still interviewed a lot of high profile people. And they provided subtitles for the Japanese developers. That's next-gen documentary s**t right there. :-P

Editing … Yeah, High Score is one of the better produced video game documentaries. So if anyone has Netflix, feel free to check it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4jopG1wX88

Editing … I'm okay with things being out of order. Thematically, it works quite well. Touching on pivotal moments rather than an overall timeline of events works pretty well in my opinion.

Editing … I had a big rant about it, but it mostly boils down to: it's a lavishly produced mess with no clear vision and lot's of shortcuts that ultimately misinform the audience. Lot's of interesting people that I didn't know though. It's mainly about the culture/people (know or not, important or not) and the market/economy, but rarely about the games themselves.
