I really missed Yomiko Readman in the R.O.D. television series. Perhaps that's why this reunion with her best friend was so special. I'd followed this show from the manga to the two anime series and I loved every second of this meeting between the hero of the original show, her best friend from the manga, the amnesiac girl from the OAV and the Paper Sisters from the Read or Dream manga spinoff. And then we finally got to see the true villain from the manga series. This single episode literally transformed R.O.D. the TV into a (slightly retconned) cross-platform epic and it felt so f***ing awesome.
