I was absolutely shocked that David Cronenberg was so utterly brilliant at playing a psychotic serial killer in this. Apparently I can like him for being a brilliant director AND actor. Shame that the rest of the film was rather dull and boring, not the makeup and creature designs though, those were fantastic.
