Editing … wow what a rip the trailer only shows 5 of the games even though it says it contains 20. Looks like I'll have to wait to see the rest of the games.

Editing … The trailer should have shown it next to something or shown a person holding it so we get an idea how small it is. Don't just show me a PS1 and say it's small, that doesn't help much. "45 percent smaller than a PS1" oh, thanks. I still keep my PS1 around and play it every day.

Editing … But SRSLY, they should show a few more definitive PS1 franchises. Like Parappa. Or at least Crash Bandicoot. I'm griping, but yeah, show me more.

Editing … I'm skeptical this will do particularly well. PS1 games being some of the earliest 3D home console titles are also some of the most unpleasant I've revisited. Those rough edges and blocky polygons just don't age as well as 2D sprites on the SNES. Aliasing is a real pet peeve for me personally. And it wasn't until the PS2 that devs started consistently offering good camera control, and on that note, WTF are they thinking providing the controllers sans analog sticks?!?! Also since other companies have a better track record with digital distribution and aren't techno-fascists like Nintendo there are better ways to play a lot of the PS1's library. My PS3 is still hooked to my TV and can play what few PS1 games I own. So can the PS2. A ton of these games are available on digital distribution platforms for modern consoles. Nearly all of the Final Fantasies are on Steam.

Editing … I'd say Sony's one opportunity is to totally lap Nintendo in terms of features. Since the dual-shock controller has barely changed over the years, make the DS3 and 4 compatible with the PS Classic. Since they must include those shitty controllers, at least make the cords a decent length. Find a way to include trophy support. In terms of the games lineup, they would have to swing for the fences to get me interested. Final Fantasy VII is the only title they've revealed that I'd genuinely like to play. Tekken 3 and Ridge Racer might be fun to revisit the past. Those other two I likely wouldn't even bother touching, I mean WTF is Jumping Flash? In terms of the rest, Final Fantasy Tactics is a must. Final Fantasy IX, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Vagrant Story, Symphony of the Night and Silent Hill would be excellent choices to get me interested. Including any of the Tomb Raiders would just be sadistic, those games are unplayable by modern standards. Resident Evil, Crash and Spyro will probably make it in to some degree but I don't really care. Metal Gear Solid deserves to be on there but I already own it so meh. Yeah, there's no way I'm picking this up.

Editing … Jumping Flash is great. I'd say it's the best game out of the five. and I would be willing to bet money that there will be no M rated games in this.

Editing … I mean, FF7 is essential. Aside from that, Sony should have showed bigger names in that library. Jumping Flash is good, but not everyone recognizes that...rabbit robot thing...Or hey, Ape Escape was big! Forgetting Ape Escape is sacrilegious.

Editing … Yeah, I get the feeling that Sony wants to beat Nintendo by adding extra features. I mean, Sony didn't reveal those yet, but various people saw a plastic cover on the back for hiding...things. I think...

Editing … I always loved the original Ape Escape, btw. Then sequels kept coming out and I got sick of apes. Lol. I suppose if Sony really wanted to get creative, they could sell other Dual Shocks. Or at least make it compatible with PS3 and PS4 controllers...

Editing … Sony or 3rd parties will almost certainly come out with better controllers like what happened with the SNES, but I find it insane to throw down even more money because Sony decided to be dipshits and withhold features.

Editing … Come to think of it, I probably played Jumping Flash as a rental from Blockbuster. But I don't remember it very well at all. It came out early in the system's lifespan. All I know is that it had nothing to do with Parappa. Lol.

Editing … Lack of dualshock is not really that big a deal, most of the biggest PS1 games aren't even compatible with it. SOTN, FF7, Xenogears, Oddworld, Parappa, RE I & II (although the Dualshock versions are better), Suikoden I & II, Tekken series, Tomb Raider I & II, Twisted Metal I & II, Klonoa, Crash Bandicoot 1, Persona, Dynasty Warriors... you can do a pretty good PS classic with no dualshock. You can even include Silent Hill 1 since it plays equally bad with analog or d-pad. Ape Escape is sad to lose and MGS and Spyro are definitely better with the dualshock. But Sony might not even wanna fork over the dough for Spyro anyway.
