Editing … Would you recommend the original 2 Metal Gear games?

Editing … Well, Metal Gear 1 was disappointing. Lol. I thought I'd actually fight an epic battle with that giant robot, but that never happened. The security cameras just shot lasers at me while I set bombs on Metal Gear. Then I had some fight with Sean Connery I mean Big Boss. And that was it. Complete letdown. At least the music was cool.

Editing … I recommend Metal Gear 2, because it literally improved everything. First, it really captured more of what Kojima was trying to do with cinematics. There's a really cool intro montage that looks like Ghost in the Shell. The controls feel a little stiff with the MSX software in general, but there's a ton of neat dialogue. And holy crap, the whole game feels pretty dark when compared to the first game.

Editing … There's also a lot of boss fights. There's a particular elevator fight with the Four Horsemen assassins that sort of makes a return in Metal Gear Solid 1. Some of the bosses are tame compared to the ones in later games, but this game is really where Kojima begins to add in flashy boss entrance dialogue.

Editing … Awesome, thanks. I'm debating whether to do a series playthrough of the game over 2019. I reckon I will, but I'm just trying to decide which games to play and which to skip.

Editing … Oh and the last three fights are the most memorable, because of the challenge level. Metal Gear is pretty awesome to look at. Grey Fox is tough, mostly because of how the game forces people to fight without their inventory items. And Big Boss's fight is pretty entertaining, because Snake has to hunt around for weapons in the boss arena. Also... SpoilerI have no idea how Big Boss lived for so long. Sean Connery I mean Big Boss died twice. At the end of the second game, he burned to death. Whatever. Maybe he's a cyborg. Lol.

Editing … Kojima's throwback to the Four Horsemen was pretty crazy though. The four stealth suits are missing...And oh yeah, I guess Big Boss's henchmen were getting revived in Metal Gear Solid. What a coincidence. Lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJoeU1k1lWE

Editing … The recurring themes and elements that run through the series make me love the games even more. It means every game feels connected despite the different gameplay styles. Pretty much everything plays out the same way every single game :p Ot's like each entry is a remake of the last. As to your spoiler....Spoiler Comas man. It's Kojima's deus ex machina. Nobody dies in this series, lol. Everyone ends up in a coma instead. Big Boss, Solidus, Volgin. Even The Boss fell into a coma prior to MGS3

Editing … Oh yeah, comas. That makes perfect sense. I would try to act really sarcastic, but he does that with every freakin' game. And don't get me started about the Beauty and the Beast Unit. Might as well call them the super-powered versions of dudes that Snake fought before. Lol. (Side note: Then again, I guess Raging Raven was different than Vulcan Raven)
