One of the steel drum masters who has always inspired me. Narell's unconventional jazz style inspired me when I was playing with my high school steel drum band. Call it selfish if you want, but my high school music department used to give out Andy Narell awards and I won one of them. Maybe because my solos sounded similar to his. Either way, I couldn't even compare to the master.
