Yep, this sure is a 80s Schwarzenegger vehicle. Not a very good one mind you, would honestly say it's downright terrible. Its sci-fi plot, like most action films of this era, was completely wasted and I find it to be no where near as compelling as the film thinks it is. One-liners are rather unremarkable and using a good one from a better Schwarzenegger film isn't cute or tongue-in-cheek, it's just cringe inducing. Action sequences aren't all that fun or rememberable or exciting or anything that I would consider in the realm of being considered "good". The film in general doesn't make a lick of sense and is poorly developed. Ending is down right disappointing, I mean ffs I don't even get a Ventura v. Schwarzenegger showdown like wtf why am I even here then? Richard Dawson is the only fun thing about this film and that just seems incredibly wrong to me.

In short, I'd rather just watch Predator. Came out the same year, way better.
