I didn't think that anyone could make a decent legal thriller, but the conspiratorial plot in Michael Clayton is downright creepy. I've seen a lot of boring award-nominated films from 2000 to 2010 that were based around politics and environmental degradation. This was one of the few stories that tried different ideas to make it more like a whodunit mystery. Although it isn't the most original idea, Michael Mann integrated a lot of cool noir camera settings to make it one of the more exciting movies in the genre.
