    Parents in Flint, Michigan are forced to pay for toxic water, as Child Protective Services require that children are hosted in homes with running water http://www.inquisitr.com/2736182/flint-residents-warned-to-pay-toxic-water-bill-or-risk-losing-custody-of-their-children/
    Flint residents cannot sell their homes, because it's illegal to sell property with a known lead or copper issue.
    And thus, the poor are trapped in their situation, and the system may very well kill them.
