    Excellent game! Many casuals tend to avoid it simply because of the difficulty, which I don't get.

    Super Meat Boy is all about the pure experience video games provide: overcoming a challenge, and getting that satisfaction of saying "I DID IT!". That's what videogames are all about. It's not trying to be some shitty hollywood movie, with some generic "shoved-in-the-players-face" message, or some philosophical study on life - THIS is a videogame! And as it is, it's excellent.

    The controls feel great, they feel a bit slippery at start but they're designed that way to make you feel the learning curve and your gradual mastery of them. The level design is phenomenal, providing many tough but fair challenges. And that's what elevates this game, it's hard as balls but in the end it's fair and rewarding to beat! Not all stages are fair unfortunately, some of them get a bit ridiculous, but I don't feel there's that many of them.

    If you love videogames, go play it!

    Not for the faint of heart. Super Meat Boy is the hardest legitimate platformer I have ever played (I Wanna Be the Guy doesn't count, fuck that game). The way it's executed is perfect, though. Dying doesn't feel bad since you get right back up in a blink, and the amazing soundtrack never stops. Proceed with caution, but if you can handle it's immense difficulty, Super Meat Boy is a gem in the rough.

    Great game but not really my genre. Still, the soundtrack is absolutely fantastic. The replay system is somewhat entertaining for a couple laughs. Very difficult game. Lots of content as well.

    Meat Boy was one of my favourite flash games, but this retail version takes the formula Edmund McMillen created and perfects it in every conceivable way. The controls are beautiful - Meat Boy's movement feels so natural, and every death is by the fault of the player, not the control scheme. The level design is also fantastic, with a huge range of mechanics gradually introduced to the player, meaning boredom rarely occurs. What really impresses me though is the HUGE amount of content the game offers - hundreds of levels ranging in difficulty, with even a level editor thrown in there for some extra fun. The game's biggest flaw is a poorly designed boss fight around the middle of the game, but this hardly distracts from the awesomeness.
