I think Mana Shield is good even for a warrior because of how it can affect hit recovery and knockback. Decreasing the light radius might also be useful as you'll draw less attention to yourself though remember to put that gear on before entering a new level or it won't work properly due to a bug. If you're really stuck then replaying the game might give you a few extra levels and the randomization makes it less tedious as some quests can be different (though there's a second bug that sets the blocking bonus to 0 if you do so maybe not).
