Re-read this one on my ipad. It's such a good read. I absolutely love how they handle the maze section. Looking forward to reading part 2!

Editing … I've never actually read comics on a tablet before now. It's pretty good actually, as the kindle app gives the option to navigate panel by panel and it transitions really well, zooming in for finer details then pulling out to reveal the scene in its entirety, for example.

Editing … Equally, I've only just started reading physical comics too, so they are both new experiences. For now, I prefer the real thing, but with a tablet screen being comparable in size to a comic page, I think digital isn't a bad way to go if you just wanna blast through some stories without worrying about where to put a bunch of books.

A fine start for my first real foray into comics :P The only other comics I have read are the Injustice: Gods Among Us series, and so pretty much all my knowledge of Batman and DC comes from my childhood experiences with the various animated series/movies, as well as bits and pieces picked up from friends who do read comics. Overall, I feel this was a good place to start. It imediately pits Batman against an adversary that rivals his strength, resources and intellect. As is typical with Batman storylines, we see him battle with himself as much as his foes and I really enjoyed this struggle as emphasized in parts #5 and #6. I am looking forward to seeing how this plot thread concludes, but I shall be reading #Nightwing, Vol. 1: Traps and Trapezes before that :)

Editing … Nightwing Volume 1 is a logical choice to read next, since it serves as a kind of prologue to the court of owls storyline and both sha (feels silly that I still don't know this guy's name after all this time) an me enjoyed that volume quite a bit. Never thought Nightwing could be such an interesting character.

Editing … I gave it 7.5/10 (not what I would call "tremendously") and the second volume is better (8/10). And my name is Curtis btw, I said it on the Forum section but I can't remember when and where.

The drawings match perfectly with #Batman's atmosphere, the storyline is admirable, everything comes in handy. Sure, it could've been better, but the situation in the first paperback reveals a bigger fallout for what comes next. A commendable beginning for an interesting new event in #Gotham City (great comic book to introduce Batman's character and his family, and to start "The New 52").
