A fine start for my first real foray into comics :P The only other comics I have read are the Injustice: Gods Among Us series, and so pretty much all my knowledge of Batman and DC comes from my childhood experiences with the various animated series/movies, as well as bits and pieces picked up from friends who do read comics. Overall, I feel this was a good place to start. It imediately pits Batman against an adversary that rivals his strength, resources and intellect. As is typical with Batman storylines, we see him battle with himself as much as his foes and I really enjoyed this struggle as emphasized in parts #5 and #6. I am looking forward to seeing how this plot thread concludes, but I shall be reading #Nightwing, Vol. 1: Traps and Trapezes before that :)

Editing … Nightwing Volume 1 is a logical choice to read next, since it serves as a kind of prologue to the court of owls storyline and both sha (feels silly that I still don't know this guy's name after all this time) an me enjoyed that volume quite a bit. Never thought Nightwing could be such an interesting character.

Editing … I gave it 7.5/10 (not what I would call "tremendously") and the second volume is better (8/10). And my name is Curtis btw, I said it on the Forum section but I can't remember when and where.

Editing … This is actually my first time reading comics in general, but I like both Marvel and DC equally. Although being a huge Batman fan, I thought this would be a logical place to start :P He is my favourite Superhero after all :)

Editing … I read tons of Marvel Comics but it's the first time I actually succeed in unraveling the big universe of DC with the New 52. They are very different from one another and deeply unique in my opinion.

Editing … " Is there anything else you would recommend reading before I start on Batman, Vol. 2: The City of Owls?", yeah. all #009s of Batgirl, Batwing, Nightwing, Batman and Robin, Detective comics, red Hood, Birds of Prey, dark Knight and Catwoman belong to the Night of the Owls main event. You could just stick to reading the basic city of owls paperback, but you'll miss a bit of the bigger picture since all those comics are interwoven into one big storyline which actually takes place in one single night.
