Philosophical question: what's an MGS game without a boss fight?

"Ground Zeroes" is lacking the – imo – most vital component of the MGS series. Apart from a relative simple plot and a few further changes, underneath it all it's still MGS, though. And as an authentic tactical espionage simulation, to me it finally feels like Kojima always intended it to be.

The controls are incredibly sophisticated; quick-equip seems fidgety; Snake's corner-sticking feels wobbly; and duct-entering is downright frustrating.

Why the voice over feels REALLY odd to me: Kiefer Sutherland's lack of passion; a PS2-era-esque limitation of in-game dubbing by design; and then there's this one character who, I assume, is supposed to sound American but cannot hide his Japanese accent :irk

BUT! the new FOX engine is complex, powerful, impressive … and gorgeous! Btw, VERY challenging – if you try stealth and/or no-kill playthrus.

I think this tech demo is, at the time, worth the €19 that I payed for.

Editing … Yeah it certainly isn't a full MGS experience but I still had fun with it, and custom helicopter evacuation music is fucking awesome!

Editing … Me too, and I'm not even finished yet. I completed the game twice, once the main mission and once a side-op, and it says "Completed 8%" (O_O' )
