I decided to start learning Spanish because we go to Tenerife on holiday a lot. It's far more difficult than French, but I did learn some French at school so maybe that is why, this is all brand new to me. All I could do before was say hello and order 2 beers :D it's fun learning actually, and it's something productive rather than just watching more YouTube crap.

Editing … A new language is interesting to learn, but needs a lot of time and practise. I am slow at this, remember in spanish "busco trabajo" meaning "searching/looking for a job", "dinero" is "money" recalling.

Editing … Damn the difficulty went up 16 notches! It went from teaching me hello, thankyou, boy, girl, milk, bread etc to a full on conversation with words I have never seen. Some words are obvious like ensalida and futbol, restaurant but I am totally lost. Am I supposed to get it all wrong so it corrects me? I'd prefer the app at least give me an example first so I have seen tbe words before.

Editing … That seems pretty difficult to learn from an app. Spanish class seems way easier. I would like to learn a new language someday. Don't know what though.

Editing … Agree i had spanish in school for two years, overall my D- was a gift. Learning a romanic language looks easier than it is then your mother tongue is a germanic one.

Editing … I could do with a teacher really, just one lesson to explain the basics that the app doesn't. Words are just getting memorised now then put in order, I'm not learning the actual language so much. I might look on Youtube.
