I started playing the remaster around 2 pm today and have now just put down the controller at just about 10 pm. Forgot how satisfying the campaign was. Slowly working through it on Veteran mode, damned if some parts are just annoying as hell but you eventually work your way through it. I felt like the beginning had me engaged but now I'm losing interest about 3/4 of the way through. Might be just cause I have to replay each mission a billion times to complete them... so I'm probably royally screwing the pacing. It will be interesting to try out the multiplayer again once I complete the campaign.

Editing … I've played about halfway through on Veteran. It holds up pretty well considering I can name several shooters that have come out afterwards and have aged like a bunch of bananas. The game is easier than I remember. I don't know what to chalk that up to. I didn't think my FPS skills improved that much, and there's no way my reflexes are sharper than they were 10+ years ago. I played the original on PC and am now playing on PS4, but I would think that would make things harder, not easier. And I'm not even sure I played it on Veteran originally.

Editing … That fuckin' storage requirement tho. OG Modern Warfare took up 8 GB. The Remaster takes up almost ten times that! It looks good, but it's not THAT huge an improvement.

Editing … I'm having a hell of a time with the mission in Chernobyl. That last little sequence where you have to get Macmillan to the chopper. No joke, played it for 3 hours and still can't get him to the choppa. At this point I don't even think the Veteran mode is based on skill or reflexes... just luck in how the AI decided to run in. Sometimes they're spamming the grenades and flashbangs. Sometimes there are dogs... it's just a crapshoot and I can't get a good strategy in place.

Editing … I think the storage requirement is fine if you're talking the full game download vs the disc based download. I think around that time a Bluray was 60 gb so the 73ish gb download makes sense for the whole game. Although I get it, all these free game downloads are killer on the hard drive. I'm currently in the process of clearing out a 2TB external HD to use as a dedicated PS4 extension.

Editing … Heyo! Took me a whole day of on off playing of that mission "One Shot, One Kill" but I finally beat it. Go figure it was on a halfhearted playthrough from on the floor across the room. Just luck I'm telling ya. Do we have a list for least favorite missions?

Editing … The hardest one is where you go up the hill to the farm then have to go back down again to the choppa. Going up the hill take out the heli's, then at the barn get sniper rifle and take out the guys to the right through a window. Go right and just keep running. Use smoke grenades to cover you across the open field.

Editing … I think I have only a couple missions left. It's just a lot of playing them over and over trying different scenarios.
