Stephen King hated the film adaptations of his material, so he took a crack at adapting his own material. Well, it didn't work out, but this does function as a form of 80s horror cheese for those that enjoy 80s horror cheese every once in a while.

Editing … Imma be that die hard Stephen King fan that's going to defend him! While it's true that I haven't seen this movie, here's two things to have in mind:

Editing … 1 - This isn't an adaptation of anything, was simply King trying to make a movie from scrath

Editing … I like King too, but it was no secret that he couldn't stand film adaptations of his stories up until that point in time. King took a crack at it by making a movie inspired by his own work - One of his own short stories called "Trucks". It didn't work out, and he never attempted it again.

Editing … What's really cool about King is that he gives anyone free permission to adapt any of his short stories to film. That's how Frank Darabont was discovered, and given the green light to direct Shawshank Redemption, which was his feature debut.
