I like Guts because he is human, he went through some terrible moments but he stands tall as a human, and it means a lot in the story. In the beginning, I just thought he was an asshole, now I know why he keeps his feelings for him. In a bit more than ten volumes, the author built the character much more than I've ever seen in any manga. And I agree @Master Crash, Gantz is a fairy tale compared with Berserk.
