What an ungodly creation this is. So then, back in 2008 director David O. Russell began work on a project entitled "Nailed". A project that was plagued by so much financial problems the producers couldn't even pay the crew. The financial problems & film interruptions became so bad that in 2010 Russell abandon the project. What this means is that this film was released in 2015 where the principal shooting took place around 2008-09 and the director abandon the project in 2010 & no other director came on. That's roughly 5 years of no re shoots and a film that is, for all intense and purpose, dead - as in it shouldn't even be a thing. Yet here we are in the year 2015 with the cobbled remains of it edited together and shoved out to theaters in the most desperate attempt I've ever seen to make money from this industry yet. This is ungodly bad, like so bad that this may very well be the Triple AAA markets version of "The Room". And I don't mean that in a positive way as this isn't even close to the "so bad it's good" argument. It is, however, just as much of a incomplete mess as "The Room" was; incoherence doesn't even begin to describe this nonsense. Scenes, as a collective whole, don't make a lick of sense and as a result the pacing is about as god awful as it can get. The acting is ungodly bad as watching these actors attempt slapstick comedy is just painful to watch (Like I seriously feel sorry for Jake Gyllenhaal and feel the need to send him an "I'm sorry you're in this mess" type letter or something). The overall concept about the need for a Health Care program in America isn't even that topical anymore because ObamaCare is a thing. The only comedic value this has to offer is in just how bad & misguided it is. This is the definition of a train wreck, but I must admit that I'm quite intrigued by it. I mean so much went against it. It couldn't sustain itself financial, its director walk off and disowned the project (which is why pseudonym is basically Alan Smithee), and it was never completely finish (though thank god they got the beginning & end down). But despite all that it still made it and man I wish it didn't. But I must admit that it's like a car wreck, it's tragic and something you wish never happened but you cannot help but look at it, even if it's for a bit.
