Mass Effect 3 is a 2012 science fiction action role-playing third person shooter video game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U. Officially announced on December 11, 2010, the game was released March 6, 2012 and marks the final chapter in the original Mass Effect trilogy of video games, completing the story of Commander Shepard. A Wii U version was announced during Nintendo's conference at E3 2012. The Wii U port was developed by Australian developer Straight Right, and was released as a Wii U launch game under the title Mass Effect 3: Special Edition. The combat system in Mass Effect 3 was changed and refined from previous titles. In particular, the cover system was improved, additional options for traversing the battlefield and scoring instant melee kills were added, more conventional grenades are available, and improved artificial intelligence was introduced.     Currently replaying this. I have so many war assets that the military strength meter is maxed out. Do I even need to build the Crucible? I think we can beat the Reapers with our sheer might.

      Editing … Bad witchcraft apparently. I'm at the end of the game. I reloaded an autosave cuz I accidentally triggered an Anderson cutscene before I was done talking to my friends, but now it's making me restart the entire Priority: Earth mission, so I'm just gonna do it later. I'm pretty annoyed, because I romanced Kelly Chambers in ME2 and ME3, I checked multiple guides on how to romance her (the only guides I ever checked), but her final conversation never occurred. Every time I went to see her, she wasn't able to have a conversation, so all the romance guides were just wrong. So, bad witchcraft, I didn't get to resolve my one regret from my first playthrough :(

    The end of an era...such hype with this game. Was on the edge of my seat all game knowing it was the last in a trilogy. The ending was a bit odd and left a lot of questions, but it didn't ruin the series for me at all. Definitely download the "new" ending. Ashley Mitchel was back in this one...yes!

    Wow, this game is really really good. ME2 is amazing, but after reading a lot of negative comments, I was expecting a huge disappointment. I'm still very far from the ending, but it can't be that bad.

      Editing … It wasn't that bad. The first 99% was fantastic the ending by no means brings down the game let alone the trilogy as some would claim. I found the whole ending "controversy" incredibly stupid to be honest.

    It's been 3 years and I'm still mad about this game. But I think I've finally cooled off enough to download the Citadel DLC. Maybe. Hopefully it won't send me into another 3 year rage.

    Many like to say ME3's biggest flaw is its ending, but for me it's the boring level design that drags the experience down from the greatness of ME2. With little exception it basically consists of one boring room with chest high walls after another, requiring very few changes to approach or tactics. ME2 excelled in this area, whether it was the bit where you had to force your way through waves of enemies to seal their entry point, or the planet where you had to stay out of the sunlight or risk getting caught with your shields down

    The controls are still fairly slick and finally don't feel massively inferior on consoles. I particularly appreciate being able to easily swap from cover to cover. The sprinting animation looks rather goofy. A lack of polish here and there can really break the immersion of the experience, particularly with setpiece sequences like the final charge towards the Citadel beam

    Overall it's fun and worth playing but its problems are hardly limited to its story

      Editing … People put the bar so low for me that I actually enjoyed it. I've read the Internet's complaints and I can't see why some were disappointed.

    You can become god-emperor of the galaxy, and somehow people thought that was a bad ending.

    C'mon guys, It's an awesome game, and at times it even exceeds ME2. The ending was okay at worst, especially after they expanded upon it. Even if you don't like the ending, that doesn't taint the whole game or the trilogy, which in my opinion is the best trilogy in gaming at the moment.

    This game took me to the climax of the gaming experience. The story grips the player from the furthermost tips of his soul and doesn't let go even after finishing it. The opposition are awesome and highly challenging; every time you think you beat the most cunning and brutal of them a new higher tech enemy pops out and here we go again! Leading your multi-alien crew across the galaxy, indulging into side stories and romance relationships, seeking to make the decision which suits you in every confrontation, inspirational characters, heroic scenes , epic battles with cutting-edge graphics.You feel intertwined with your character, live the battles, and deal with its emotions. This is when you elate to the utmost point of gaming. Pure passion.
