So I went through most of the night playing Arena and I learned a couple things.
    - my decks suck xD
    - mono red mouse is really crazy

That's the great thing about Arena and exactly what I was hoping to get out of tonight. I was able to become disillusioned with several of my decks, which saves me the bother of getting them irl.

At least, I know I should only bother making a deck irl if it's capable of withstanding a mouse assault in some capacity. This pretty much rules out humans since they are sparse on disruption. If I do build them it would definitely be in a format other than pioneer, unless I do it as a very very casual deck or an art piece of sorts.

Ironically this puts Gruul stompy and Sprite Dragon up a notch because at least they have burn.
It also looks like I was very right about Collective Brutality. Imagine using it to hit both one of their mice and the Monstrous Rage hiding in their hand. I must try this out.

That said, a ban announcement is due in a week, and it's speculated that red is almost definitely going to take a hit.

Okay so here is the Coon sticker I want.
    https://www.redbubble.com/i/sticker/The-Coon-South-Park-by-CheDesigns/52482716.O9UDB

I've never bought from redbubble before, no idea how it works. I assume the sticker is not official South Park merch... or maybe it is?

My idea was to put the sticker on an MtG raccoon lord and have that be my commander deck.
I already wrote the list. It's maybe not my greatest work, but the South Park sticker idea is so peculiar that I can't bring myself to delete the decklist. There's always that one percent chance I might actually go through with it.

I'm trying to use Spelltable. I bought a tripod, but before but I get that set up, I figured I'd try to spectate some games first.
But the other players' screens just show up blank, with the message "There was a problem changing the camera, try closing your camera app". Which makes no sense since it's supposed to stream footage from their cameras.
This happens in both Chrome and Edge. What's going on?

I could just go ahead and try to set things up to actually play, but something tells me that I'll keep having this problem regardless until I figure out what is causing it.

Editing … I wonder if this glitch would exist if Wotc didn't buy spelltable. I mean why would they care, it's not like they make money off this at least not directly. They'd probably rather everyone just use MTGA.

Editing … Right? I've never bothered to try it, seems unpractical. But I don't nearly play as Magic much irl as I want to. That's why I've decided to look at other options including Spelltable.

Editing … yeap, other people are having this issue. No solution is offered. And just as I figured, someone is blaming it on Wotc owning Spelltable. https://www.reddit.com/r/SpellTable/comments/1cekb7n/cant_get_a_video_stream_anymore/ wow and here I was wondering if I simply gave up too prematurely. So much for that.

Editing … Actually sounds much more fun than playing via an interface. It's what I imagined the internet would be like in the 90's. Interacting with actual people online one to one. You can get a glimpse of what it's like at the other end of the camera like that. I'd make a game out of figuring out the personality of my opponent just from their hands.

Editing … "It's what I imagined the internet would be like in the 90's" lol! well there is mic and chat, so you will know their personality from that. I can actually hear everyone talking when joining a game. There's just no footage. =(

I have this ongoing obsession with this current trend of cards being printed w whitespace in the set symbols. I feel as though they're begging us to color it in using a marker, and I already bought a gold marker for that exact purpose. (Defacing MtG cards ftw.) I've done this to a few Baldur's Gate cards I bought previously, and I plan to try it on Commander Masters next.

The marker I use is kinda thicc, but I don't know a good place to get one with a finer tip. And it does a decent enough job. From a distance, you wouldn't notice that it the gold was colored in.

When I think it through a bit, I guess my goal ought to be to acquire the most expensive card or cards in an expansion and deface those, for maximum effect. And better yet, I should post it on social media. Recording it would be even better than taking photos, since there's that experience of horror as I take a marker to an $80 card while viewers helplessly watch. I don't have a tripod, so maybe I should get one. For the time being though, I bought a booster box of Baldur's Gate for the heck of it. I'm not unlikely to open a Mother of Runes or some other goodies for my deck. But the best catch would be an Ancient Copper Dragon.

Jeepers, I haven't posted to this page in 4 years. War of the Spark = best set since Khans of Tarkir, probably better. Unlike Khans, no epic reprints, but the 36-planeswalker bonanza was such a fun idea and executed so well. Rob and I already split a box, and we're getting ready to split a second box + bundle with three other friends and draft it.

I'm a little disappointed because the evidence is saying there won't be enemy-color fetch lands in Dragons of Tarkir like I thought there would be...

    "I am a trans girl and during transitioning I found a save haven and great solace in my LGS. At first I was hesitant and scared to go alone, so I often asked a friend of mine to go with me to play Magic. But over time I dared to go alone and now I have a great group of friends who accept and respect me for who I am. I am a regular and people know me by name and by the Commander decks I play. The store owner and an employee even came to visit me when I was in the hospital for a week after surgery earlier this year. Thanks to Magic and my LGS, I became less of a hermit and way more social, happier and confident, improving my game along with it." AHH I LOVE HEARING STORIES LIKE THIS ;_;

41 packs later, I think it's safe to say I'm loving the hell out of Khans of Tarkir. Probably going to buy a few more packs tomorrow, tbh... :L
